The Yokai, a Limited Edition Collection by Rainbow Honey

I was asked by Dee of Rainbow Honey to keep a secret.  Of course I said yes because usually I can keep a secret because I'm a very loyal person.  However, this secret was just that, a secret because I didn't know what she was creating for release until I received my polishes.

I opened the box and they absolutely took my breath away!!  Not only the colors of the polishes but I love the concept.  So much fun to play in the spirit world.

Dee has given me the most wonderful honor to introduce you to "The Yokai" Collection that she created.

NOW, you must listen up to the following information.  This is all very important stuff!

This is a limited edition run of three very special polishes!

What is a yokai?

Yōkai (literally demon, spirit, or monster) are a class of supernatural creatures in Japanese folklore. The word yokai is made up of the kanji for 'otherwordly' and 'weird'. Yokai range eclectically from the malevolent to the mischievous, or occasionally bring good fortune to those who encounter them. Often they possess animal features, (such as the Kappa, which is similar to a turtle, or the Tengu which has wings), other times they can appear mostly human, some look like inanimate objects and others have no discernible shape. Yōkai usually have a spiritual supernatural power, with shape shifting as one of the most common. Yōkai that have the ability to shape-shift are called obake.

Japanese folklorists and historians use yōkai as "supernatural or unaccountable phenomena to their informants". In the Edo period, many artists, such as Toriyama Sekien, created yōkai inspired by folklore or their own ideas, and in the present, several yōkai created by them are wrongly considered as being of legendary origin.

WOW!  are you still with me?  Remember this is VERY important!

When can you purchase a Yokai?

The Yokai Collection will be available for purchase Saturday, October 13 only while supplies last.

Who are the three Yokai created by Rainbow Honey?

Let me introduce you to the trio of the spirit world!

Kawako, described as the mischevious river child.  He is a gorgeous, and I do mean gorgeous sapphire blue polish with silver flake glitters.  My application of this polish was a complete joy.  It covered opaque in just two coats.  This polish was such a pleasure to play with.

He is truly a gorgeous blue spirit of fun!

Kitsune is the magical white fox.  This polish is indeed a fox!  All I can say about this white fox is that she is sooooo fabulously stunning.  Did I say stunning?  I must say this again....stunning!  Kitsune is a unique champagne in color with fall colored glitters sprinkled through out.

I have to say I have never seen a polish so truly gorgeous as Kitsune!  She is UNIQUE in all her ways!

Oni, the malevolent wild demon.  Wild demon is this polish!  He is a sheer black with gold glitters flowing through out.  The gold seems to almost radiate a glow that produces a beautiful green hue to the black.  He is just so.......can you call a demon beautiful?  He is just so handsome that he is beautiful!  Another fantastic application, with only two coats completing his beauty.

Oh my gosh, I almost forgot to show you the bottle shots and how these polishes arrive.  You must check out her packaging.  They are in their own little boxes with cut out hearts.  It just can't get any better than that, with the exception of her lovely labels on each bottle.
