Once Upon A Time from the Hall-o-Whimsey Collection by Whimsical Creations by Pam!

 Once Upon A Time there was a girl by the name of Pam.  She loved to make the most wonderful Whimsical Creations.  Pam and her partner in crime, Kismet worked together to create stunningly beautiful nail polishes.  Pam invented the magic potions and Kismet...well, Kismet ate the ribbons.  All-in all they made a very good team.

Polish lovers from all over would come to Pam for her gorgeous glitter potions.  Everyone loved and appreciated her works of art.

The time was nearing to the Hall-o-Whimsey season.  Miss Pam discussed with Kismet what she thought she would make to delight all the dancing fingernails that needed to be painted for this festive time of the year.  Miss Pam went straight to her creating corner of her castle and brought back three magical polishes.  Their names were Boo, Wicked and Once Upon A Time.  Everyone who looked upon these magical polishes were given a gift.  What gift you ask?  Why it's to live happily ever after!!

Today, I'm going to show you Once Upon A Time!

This magical polish has a clear base with glitters of light green and lavender.  This bottle is filled to the brim with these glorious glitters.  If you look real close, you can see the light green chasing the lavender all around in the bottle.

I selected Naughty and Nice by Orly Nail Lacquer as a base polish.  This polish is a very deep blackened plum.  I applied two coats of Naughty and Nice and then layered one coat of Once Upon A Time over it.  Then one coat of Poshe topcoat.  This was a fun manicure!!

 Once Upon A Time there was a polish who's name was Naughty and Nice by Orly!

 She loved to twirl and show off her rear view...shame on her!

She always wore her name tag.  She was afraid people would forget her name!

 She did love her closeups, especially since she had been using ProActive and her skin had cleared!

Naughty and Nice was always so dark mysterious!

She was so dark it was almost impossible to see that little plum heart of hers!

She would walk right up to people and ask them if they could see her plum!

 If she was walking outside most people would tell her they could see a little.  They asked her to spin around so that they may see her highlights.

 She twirled and twirled!   Until........

One day she decided that she was not going to twirl anymore for people.  If they couldn't see her plum heart then they didn't know her......and so she lived happily ever after knowing that she knew what color she was.  If others had a problem, that would be their problem, not hers!

And then........

 Once Upon A Time there was this gorgeous potion of a beautiful green and lavender!

She loved her dress of green and lavender.  She would stand in front of the mirror and.....you know what she would do......She would twirl!

She always invited people to look at her dress.  She said come closer!  Pretty?

She already knew how pretty her dress was and wanted to try something different!

 So she slipped a dark petticoat under it!

Oh!  She fell in love immediately!

They were made for each other!

 She loved how the darker petticoat showed off her stunning dress of green and lavender!

She wore this beautiful combination to a party on Facebook and received so many compliments!

 

 She knew that she was the Belle of the Ball!

 This handsome prince asked her to dance.  Me!  She said.  You want to dance with Me?

The prince took her hand and they walked onto the dance floor!  And you guessed it!  They lived happily ever after.

And this happened how???  All because the most gorgeous combination was made with her dress and petticoat.  Just like the combination I used on this mani.  It's the two together that make the fantastic!!

An Apple for my Teacher by Naild'It Unique Nail Polish (Part 1 of 3)

I always loved going "Back To School".  I know, I know it's strange, but that was where all my friends were.  What a fun place to be!

That's why I was so thrilled to swatch and review a new Back to School Collection created by Andrea of Naild'It Unique Nail Polish.  This is such a stunningly beautiful, fun collection.  It consists of three unique polishes.

 OK!  My loves here we go!


Let's first start with "An Apple for my Teacher".   This beautiful apple is a red jelly base with brown bars (stems), a splatter of greens (leaves), and a variety of red glitters (apples of course) as described by Andrea.

What I did with this polish was to apply three coats of it alone on all my fingernails with the exception of my ring finger.  On my ring fingernail I layered it over two coats of Ruby Pumps by China Glaze.  As you look at the pictures you will see that layering did not make a big difference.  Although in person the nail has more depth of color and a clear deep shine from the glitter.

The polish is just a tad thick.  It seemed just great for the first coat, however I decided to add a few drops of polish thinner for the second coat which made application easy peasy for the second and third coats.

You ladies will love An Apple for my Teacher!  If you don't have a teacher to wear it to school, just  be sure to wear it for a "special" friend.

Oh, and be careful because someone just might take a bite!!

She is a gorgeous red apple!

 Make sure you don't forget to wear her on your nails the first day of school~

Chaos & Crocodiles, Rainbow Polish and Pomegranate = Gorgeous

Hi my  Nail Ladies!

I am reviewing four (4) gorgeous and absolutely stunning polishes today.  I know that you will agree with me that I ended up with a perfect manicure for this fall season.  Different and beautiful glitters make this one of my most favorite swatches I have done.  I'm sorry if you get tired of me using the word "gorgeous".   I will apologize up front, however sometimes there are no other adjectives to express or explain how to you how I feel.

Do you want to know more about it?

First I'll share the undies or base coat polishes I selected.  The first one is Sea Glass by Chaos & Crocodiles.  Sea Glass is a turquoise creme polish that has glass-fleck shimmer and very fine glitter that shifts between gold, green, and blue.   This turquoise is so gorgeous.  The application was fantastic.  This definitely is my go to turquoise.  I just LOVE it.

The second polish that I used as an undie is Autumnesque by Pomegranate Nail Lacquer.  This is an awesome copper polish with golden shimmer that reflects russet leaves, apple cider, and all that is best about fall.  The application was easy and covered in two coats.  I am truly impressed by the beauty of this polish.

OK, let's talk about Rainbow Polish.  I just received my order of her glitter top coats.   I could not resist their beauty and had to use them right away.   Let's discuss Havasu.  WOW!  This polish was created with  burnt orange hexes, gold hex & square glitters, teal blue hex glitter, and smaller teal and blue glitter in a clear suspension base.   I applied this beauty over Sea Glass.  Loved it!!

The other color I used was Pheasant.  Awwwww, the gorgeous Pheasant!  This does resemble the beautiful bird.  This polish contains small gold glitter, teal glitters, copper glitter, and a sprinkling of large red hex glitter in a clear suspension base.  I applied Pheasant over Autumnesque.  Can you spell "Gorgeous" with a capital G?

In my pictures you will see the result of two coats of undie or base coat polishes and only one coat of the glitters.  Sea Glass with Havasu is on my ring finger and Autumnesque with Pheasant is on all my other fingers.  I applied two coats of HK Girl Fast Drying Clear Top Coat.

Here we go!  Hold on to your hats!
