Arms and Armory x Cirque Introduces “Alter Ego” Collaboration

New York based artisans, Arms and Armory and Cirque teamed up and created a unique project called Alter Ego, a special edition ring and nail polish duo.  the set was released December 3, 2012 and can be purchased through the Arms and Armory and Cirque websites.

Alter Ego is a collaboration that features an art deco-inspired ring, designed by Arms and Armory, and a cosmic black nail lacquer, handmade by Cirque.  The gunmetal-plated ring has an adjustable band that can fit a range of sizes and boasts a black enamel triangle in the center.  It is paired with this nontraditional black polish that displays a bold prismatic flame when exposed to direct lighting.

Arms and Armory, as described by them, is a New York-based art collective specializing in hand crafted jewelry. Inspired by old mythology, science history and magic, Arms and Armory blends the ideas of the future with styles of the past to create beautiful works of wearable art.

Cirque is an artisan's line of hand-blended nail polish made in New York.  The name Cirque, meaning ring or circle, represents the color wheel and the endless color possibilities in the continuum.  Creator, Annie Pham, sought to develop colors that transcend those of conventional brands by experimenting with unique pigments and raw materials.  

I completed my manicure with just two coats of this fabulous formulation and applied one coat of Porshe' top coat.  Gorgeous!!!

I'm in love with this unique ring and nail polish!!

I must share with you right now that Cirque is one of my top favorite polish lines.  I just love each and every color that Annie creates!!  They are all awesome!!

Cape Liz and xx of Cirque

Hello Everyone!!  I'm so happy that Friday has finally rolled around!

I'm am so thrilled with the polish that I'm going to share with you today that I think I'm going to dedicate this day as "National Glitter Day".  You will understand why when you look at my swatches.

I selected Cape Liz and XX of the Objet d'Art Collection by Cirque to share with you today.  I love Cirque nail polishes.  They are all truly awesome.

Cape Liz is a ravishing beauty!!  Cirque describes Cape Liz as a moody light blue with multi-dimensional shimmer.  Her moodiness plays in color as a grey which creates a stunning grey/blue hue.

XX is all about glitter.  She is the reason I called today National Glitter Day.  XX is a rainbow glitter polish made with over 20 different types of holographic particles all swimming in a clear base.  This glitter polish is outstanding!  I believe this is the most sparkling glitter polish I have ever used.  The glow will actually blind you.  I am talking gorgeous with a capital G!

I completed my manicure with three coats of Cape Liz and one coat of XX.  I then added one coat of Gelous and one coat of Porshe' top coat.  Magnificent!!

Nail Mail Alert

Don't you just love nail mail?  It's so wonderful to stay home and let it come to you.  To me when it comes I think of Christmas ......oh, it's time to open my present.

Want to see what I have to share with you today?

The first package is a Halloween delivery.   They came all the way from New York to me.  It is the Cirque All Hallow's Eve Collection polishes.  It was so much fun to open this package and find the two polishes.  The first one is Kabocha.  She is a neon orange jelly.  Did I tell you about her ability to "glow in the dark"?  The next one is Neko.  He is a clear based black glitter that was created to be a topcoat for Kabocha.  Of course Neko can be worn over anything.  A fun green would be a great undie as well during this season.    These are going to be so much fun to wear.

OK, let's take a look at these babies.

Ewwww!  We must be careful.  Eck!  I see a spider.  Where, where, where is the spider......there it is right here......

Step on him, get him, now!

Oh NO!  They are attacking my awesome polishes!!  You guys get your own.  Don't you know I don't share?

 Here come some more of their friends....go away!

Alright!  I'm stepping on all of you.  Ewwww, squash, squash, squash!!

Can you believe that?  I think they are all gone now.  I sure hope they stay away, but I'm not sure if they will or not.  You know how spiders love Halloween.
