My Last "Go Pink Wednesday" Mani With OPI BCA Duo!

 This is my fifth and last posting for Go Pink Wednesday.  I do this with much sadness as I have looked forward to each and every Wednesday I have shared with you for Breast Cancer Awareness.

It has been such a privilege to be part of the wonderful bloggers of this group that stood together for the fight against Breast Cancer.

As We in unison, have stated over and over Awareness is the Key!!

Awareness is Knowledge!! 

We must be proactive against this cancer.  Please get your mammograms and make sure not to forget how important your own daily self-examination is to early detection!

For this, my last pink manicure I choose the OPI Breast Cancer Awareness Duo which consists of I Think In Pink and You Glitter Be Nice To Me.  Together these polishes create the most gorgeous combination of pinks!  I Think in Pink is a stunning pink jelly polish with You Glitter Be Nice To Me being a smashingly gorgeous glitter of outstanding pinks.

I applied three coats of I Think In Pink with two coats of You Glitter Be Nice To Me.  

Oh!  WOW!  Hold on to your little piggy toe!  You are about to be blown away to a sparkling wonderland of pink!

May I introduce you to our stars of the day.  It's I Think in Pink and her sister, You Glitter Be Nice To Me!

 What a gorgeous pair they are!

They insisted that they wear their name labels so that we would not get them mixed up!!

I told them that we could never confuse them because one is a jelly and the other is glitter!

 Well, look here!!  I'm holding both of them!

Not to ever take away from their beauty!

 I just had to show that I could do it!!  ;-)

 It's time for me NOW to direct your attention to the gorgeous combination of pink they created!

 This my friends is what I call the supreme of pink!

 A wonderful tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness!

Dedicated to all our family members who were ever touched my this tragic cancer!

We show our pink war paint on our nails for a sign of support!

 Warriors in pink!  That is what they are called!

 Can you hear their drums as they pound out their stories?

 Perhaps the noise of the drums will quiet one day!

What do you think?

 Will this ever happen?

 All of my hope is that it will!

 But, we will always continue to wear our pink polish!

 And, always remember those who were not saved!

My "Go Pink Wednesday" Mani With Jem by Liquid Lacquer

 Can you believe that

it's already week four of "Go Pink Wednesday"?

 

Gosh, I really can't believe that this is the fourth week of "Go Pink Wednesday".  It has been such a honor and a privilege to participate in this Breast Cancer Awareness group.

My belief is that women should support women in all their causes.  When it comes down to the line it will only be the women that are there.  It's not men's fault that they do not understand women's issues.  They have just never walked in our shoes.  

When it comes to breast cancer men are becoming great allies and supporters because they are also struck by this tragic cancer.  The base of contributors has grown as the awareness grows that men can also get this cancer.

As knowledge is power and power is strength!!!

The polish I choose for my "Go Pink Wednesday" manicure is Jem by Melissa of Liquid Lacquer.  Liquid Lacquer used to go under the name of 2ChixLacquer.  This is a new Indie polish maker to me either under their old name or as Liquid Lacquer.   I have been very impressed!   I placed my order and it was at my front door in two days.  Jem is a limited edition polish.   She is absolutely gorgeous!  She has a mauve-y pink jelly base with assorted colors of glitter that trip the light fantastic.  Jem is of an ideal consistency with just the perfect amount of glitter percentage.  I applied three coats to opaque.  Her glitters flowed from her brush perfectly even.  Jem is a jem of a jem!

She is photographing darker than she appears in real life time!

She is really shaking her tail feathers for you!!  Can you see those little glitters swaying?

 Jem!  That is her precious name!

She is so perfect that it only took one shot to get this picture!

My logic behind selecting Jem this week is her assortment of various gorgeous glitter colors.  Let's say there's more colors than just pink.  I didn't think that "Go Pink Wednesday" would care if I shared this post with all the other great causes that are represented during the month of October.  I want all the stunning glitter colors in Jem dedicated to those causes.

She is a pretty one!

Remember one word!!  Proactive!!

 We cannot be Reactive!!

Get to know your body.....

The more you know your own normal......

 The sooner you will notice your UN-normal!!

My Third Week with Going Pink Wednesday!!

This is my third Wednesday to participate in Going Pink Wednesday in October.   It has been so much fun for me.  I search through all my polishes to select the most perfect and awesome pink polishes I can find.  Their pinkness must be of such a high supreme to even be considered for my Going Pink Wednesday manicure.  I even purchased some new very select BCA polishes.  For this manicure only the best and most gorgeous will be selected.
 
So this leads me to my polish selection for this week.  I purchased them from Pretty & Polished,  they are a duet.  You can wear them alone or you can wear them together.  Their names are You are Beautiful which is a beautiful pink shimmer.  The other is BCA which is the initails for Breast Cancer Awareness.  BCA is a gorgeous pink glitter polish.

I applied two coats of You are Beautiful as a base and then layered two coats of BCA over You are Beautiful.  They are a match made in heaven!! 

I'm sure you will agree with me on how gorgeous this manicure turned out

Here they are!  They sing together and make the most gorgeous pink music!

 Oh, well they turned around.  Ummmmmmm......They must be very happy to show us their rear view!

You know I have always wondered why someone chose pink to be Breast Cancer Awareness color.  I would love for you to share the information in my comments if you know the answer to this!

 I think that I told you before that I LOVE pink.  Yeah, I can't get enough of it!

I always have to say this...Pink is for Patty!

Let me ask you a question.  Have you ever had a mammogram?  Is it time?  Then you need to get one!

 Early detection could save your life!  I want you around for a long time!

I have my papers right now to go and get my test.  I will be calling for my appointment!

 It's not fair leaving me out here by myself.  Check in the your doctor  to get your papers!

You know it is only uncomfortable for a few minutes.  And, before you know it it's over!
